Transforming a one-bedroom apartment into a luxury two-bedroom home with a private garden.
Hidden beneath street level, this neglected lower ground floor apartment concealed far more potential than first met the eye. Although dated, dark and heavily compartmentalised, it benefitted from a rare asset in the heart of St Andrews – a private garden waiting to be reimagined.
Through extensive internal reconfiguration, we transformed the original one-bedroom layout into a bright, contemporary two-bedroom home centred around an open-plan living, kitchen and dining space.
Natural light, improved flow and carefully considered design have created an interior that is both spacious and effortless to live in, with both bedrooms now enjoying direct access to a beautifully landscaped outdoor living space.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful design can completely redefine a property’s character, transforming an overlooked apartment into a stylish home that combines comfort, quality and outdoor living in a town centre location.
