A faithful restoration of an 1890s carpenter’s workshop into
five premium apartments.
Originally built as a carpenter’s workshop in the 1890s, this distinctive St Andrews building had lost much of its character following an unsympathetic developmentin the 1980s. Our vision was to restore its identity while creating
contemporary light-filled homes.
Through a combination of creative spatial planning and thoughtul restoration, we transformed the building into five beautifully crafted apartments, maximising natural light, space and spectacular views across the West Sands and towards the Old Course. Original Victorian sash and case windows were faithfully reinstated, framing contemporary interiors that respect the building’s industrial heritage while offering an effortless way of living.
Today, the building once again reflects the character of its Victorian origins, demonstrating how sensitive renovation can preserve a property’s history while
giving it a new lease of life.
